How to fill out an entry form

...and a new chapter on Practicing!

In this fully illustrated 180 page book, everything from the dances, (including a "Moms guide" to the basic Fling and Sword), how championships work, costuming and its rules, and the "who's who" of organisations are all covered in an entertaining and informative style.  There is much more in this 12 chapter book that will enable you to learn all the "ins & outs" of being a Highland Dancer, or at least a "Dancing Mom"!

Having been a "Dancing Mom" for over 15 years now,  I have tried to include some of the helpful tips and tricks that I have learned over the years.  Explanations are given in a clear, easy to read format and cover all the facets of highland dancing. From the basic needs of being a new dancer to the complex world of championship level dancers, 'A Parent's Guide to Highland Dancing' tells you all you need to know.

If you are new to Highland Dancing then this guide will definitely help you learn what is needed. Teachers are quite often busy at class and may find it hard to answer all of your questions, but by referring to  "A Parent's Guide to Highland Dancing", most of your answers will be found. Even those of you who have been around Highland Dancing for a couple of years, will be sure to find some interesting tid bits that might make life a little less complicated!

Happy Dancing!
